The beginning of the end starts tonight.
“Entourage” is back but only for one more season, Season 8, which premieres Sunday at 10:30 p.m. EST. The new season is set for eight episodes.
The show that follows Vince and his Queens crew is loosely based on the life of Hollywood actor, Mark Wahlberg. It revolves around a movie star, Vincent Chase and his friends from his hometown of Queens, NY. Along with him for the ride is manager, Eric, half-brother Drama, friend Turtle and agent Ari.
Season 7 of “Entourage” left off with Vince having a major cocaine problem– After his friends stage an intervention and he loses his girlfriend, porn star Sasha Grey, he becomes reckless and heads to Eminem’s party. Ultimately, Vince gets beat up at the party and hospitalized, where police discover a bag of cocaine in his sweater.
Season 8 takes off where the boys left off, Vince resurfaces after being “90 days clean,” and rejoins his friends. Drama is seen taking part in a cartoon show,”Johnny Bananas,” while Eric finds trouble in paradise with Sloan and Vince begins pushing a script he wrote.
Debuted first in 2004, the show became a hit and equivalent to “Sex & The City” for the men. Over the years, the movie has been nominated for 25 Primetime Emmy Awards, 14 Golden Globe Awards and six Screen Actors Guild Awards. Like “Sex” Rumors hint at a possible movie following the season’s end. According to Pop Sugar, actress Emmanuelle Chriqui says a movie is a “definite possibility.”
