According to Nassau County Police, at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, a 49-year-old man was walking to his car, which was parked on Cromer Road West in Elmont when a red sports car pulled up. The driver got out of his car and threatened to use a weapon, to which the victim took off on foot and called police. Following an investigation, it was reportedly determined that the victim’s vehicle had been gone through but there was nothing missing.
No injuries were reported but detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
