Clifford won first place in each of her events
Kelly Clifford, a senior at MacArthur High School, has had a very successful Winter Track and Field season. Recently Clifford won first place in each of her events at her conference’s meet: high jump, triple jump and long jump. That same night she set a new school record and personal best in the high jump jumping 5’6”.
The MacArthur Girls Winter Track and Field team won the Conference meet for the seventh year in a row that same night. The following week, Clifford won first place in the high jump and third place in the triple jump at the Winter Track and Field County meet.
She earned the title of All Conference and All County in Winter Track and Field this season. Clifford then won first place in the high jump and second place in the triple jump, qualifying for her to compete in both events at a recent state meet at Cornell.
