Teen Hit During Hempstead Drive-by Shooting

A teen was shot in the ankle during a drive-by shooting in Hempstead Saturday afternoon.

According to Nassau County Police, at 4 p.m. a 17-year-old man was walking on Oakland St. when he saw a blue four door car traveling westbound on Oakland St.  He then heard one gun shot and looked down to find that he was bleeding from his ankle.
