Hillside Beverage Cyclones upset heavily favored Riversharks for major’s championship.
The team leaned on the shoulders of Gregory Andreopoulos and Andrew Imperatore who both pitched just about a perfect game. The game MVP was Sean MCClellan who was three for three with all four RBI’s starting in the third inning with his three run homer off the league’s top pitcher. Harman Takhar started the rally with his precise bunting.
The defense was phenomenally led by Casey Donohue, Philip Chang, and Kevin Fox locking up the infield. The outfield was also stellar with Anthony Carbone, CJ Riccobono and Vittorio Distefano. It was a great way to end the season for some of these 12-year-olds last little league game along with the coach’s Bobby Donohue, Joe Carbone and Andy Imperatore who all have spent some time coaching in Merillon Little League organization.
