String Ensembles/Art Shows Outstanding
All schools had wonderful spring concerts and art shows that were enthusiastically received by the audiences. We have completed all the New York State testing and scoring for grades three to six.
We recently witnessed the Kindergarten graduations of students at all four schools and we have completed all the plans and staff development for the summer school teachers and teacher aides.
Each of our academic programs are winding down and completing their final assessments, writing portfolios and running records. This assessment data is utilized for grouping students in next year’s classes and to create academic intervention services list.
The Dignity For All Students Act Committee has completed their work with productive outcomes. Our district has a proposed plan that includes a new curriculum, materials and mission to help all students feel safe, secure and protected.
Each elementary school will be providing information to all parents in September. A special thank you to Mrs. Marenghi, principal of the New Hyde Park Road School and Dr. Kurasaki for facilitating the process.
We held our annual town meeting and we hope everyone who was recognized realize how instrumental they have been in shaping the lives of our students.
