‘Summers Not Done AquaRun’ Clinic Draws Nice Crowd At TOBAY Beach

The Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) was pleased to host a special clinic for those who are going to participate in the UJA-Federation of New York Summer’s Not Done AquaRun.

The clinic was held at TOBAY Beach on Thursday evening, Aug. 9, and was specially designed for those who will be participating in the AquaRun at TOBAY Beach at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 16. The event consists of an 800-meter swim in South Oyster Bay and a three-mile run through TOBAY Beach Bird and Game Preserve. Entries are still being accepted and the fee is $40.

GLIRC would like to thank AquaRun co-director Holly Jonas, Kim Gazda of UJA-Federation of New York, AquaRun coordinator Mindy Davidson, Lisa Hiller, and Bob Cook of The Runner’s Edge in Farmingdale for making the clinic a reality.

There is still time to register for the AquaRun. Call Mindy Davidson at the GLIRC office at 349-7646, or register online at www.glirc.org.
