Property Tax Exemptions Workshop
Staff will process property tax exemption applications (veterans, senior citizen, Cold War veterans, volunteer firefighters and ambulance workers, limited income disability, and home improvement) on-site. In addition, Nassau County also offers two types of School Tax Relief (STAR) property tax exemptions. From 1 to 3 p.m., Department of Assessment mobile office at the Levittown Public Library, 1 Bluegrass Lane. Applications and specific documentation requirements are available on the Department of Assessment website at www.mynassauproperty.com. Blood Drive
Nassau Community College (NCC), in conjunction with Nassau University Medical Center, will host its 18th Annual “Back to School” blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the College Center Building, 1 Education Dr., Garden City. The process takes less than an hour and refreshments will be served to participants. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old and in good health. Donors should bring photo identification. Although small snacks will be provided, donors should eat before donating.
