BU14 Falcons United came out flying in the season opener, scoring off the kick off in fewer than 10 seconds. The tone was set, and the boys kept up a blistering pace to win comfortably 5-2.
Coming off a successful Labor Day Weekend tournament, the offense was clicking, and United’s passing and speed of play carried the day. Four different players scored as Elvin Zavala twice hit the back of the net in the convincing win against Valley Stream.
Captains Ray Minewiser and Kyler Rowe pushed United’s quick strike attack, dominating possession and creating many good scoring opportunities.
Led by coach’s Gallego and Van Patten, the Falcons took a knee in observance of 9/11 and the passing of Ben Rosen’s Grandfather. Ben is one of the goalie’s for the team.
