Peppermint Chocolate Bark Pizza

Make a dessert pizza at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library, 89 East Main Street, by crushing candy canes, mixing them with white chocolate and then pouring it over delicious milk chocolate. Register in the Children’s Room. Children ages three to five, accompanied with an adult, may take the class at 4 p.m. Children six-years and over may take the class held between 5:15 and 6:15 p.m.

Get Into College Cheap

Andrew Lockwood, a college finance and admissions strategist and author, will be at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to conduct a workshop for the parents of college-bound teens. Topics covered include: how a prestigious private college can actually cost less than a state university, how parents earning six-figure incomes can qualify for five-figure financial aid awards, the six biggest myths about grants, scholarships, and financial aid, and much more.  Call to register.

Computer Second Grade

In this workshop at the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., you will learn how to work with numbers including inputting, inserting, moving, erasing, and simple mathematical operations; doing spreadsheets, creating a workbook and more. Pre-requisites: Computer Kindergarten, Computer 1st Grade, or equivalent knowledge and experience. There will be a small fee of $4 per patron, due at sign-up. Call 922-1212 for information.
