Volleyball has been part of the summer Olympic Games since 1964. That means the top players from around the world gather once every four years. The top players from Farmingdale gather a lot more often in Farmingdale’s Adult Education Program—twice a week, to be exact. Headed by captain Bob Rozakis, the volleyball players get to stretch their muscles in an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun.
The program is so popular that it’s expanding to three times a week in the Spring 2013 session. Tuesday and Wednesday nights’ classes are open to 48 players; Monday class, designed for novice players, maxes out at 24 people. If you’re interested, be sure to register soon because the teams fill up fast.
