Board Of Trustees Meeting Schedule

The next regularly scheduled board of trustees meeting will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 8 p.m. I encourage all residents to attend board of trustees meetings so as to be thoroughly informed of village issues from a first-hand perspective.

S.T.O.P. Program

The Town of Hempstead Sanitation Department will conduct the first of its monthly S.T.O.P. (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) program this Saturday, March 23. The program, which is held at various locations throughout the Town of Hempstead, will make hazardous waste facilities accessible to as many residents as possible.

This Saturday’s program will be held at Eisenhower Park, Parking Field 3, in East Meadow. Take Hempstead Turnpike, to Park Boulevard, which will take you through the center of Eisenhower Park and follow the signs to Field 3. The hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Shop And Dine In Garden City – Support The Local Merchants

I would like to ask you to do your part to support all businesses within Garden City. I would also like to encourage all residents and professionals within Garden City to shop locally. Your patronage will be appreciated and is needed.

Outdoor Dining

Beginning on April 1, working under a special permit from the village, food establishments on Seventh Street, New Hyde Park Road and Franklin Avenue, will place tables and chairs outside their shops and restaurants for your convenience and enjoyment. When this program begins, please stop by to let the merchants know that you appreciate their efforts and enjoy the many fine tastes of Garden City.
