A person was fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road train in Syosset late Monday night.
The victim was struck east of the Robbins Lane crossing before midnight, the LIRR said.
Service was suspended on the Port Jefferson Branch between Hicksville and Huntington while investigators were on the scene.
The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
MTA Police are continuing the investigation.
