Robotics Club Competes At World Championships

After winning the New York City Regional Championship, students from the Sewanhaka Central School District travelled to St. Louis, MO to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championships at the Edward Jones Dome. The top 128 out of a total of 2,500 teams from around the world were present and students from Sewanhaka finished in 23rd place in their division with a record of 5-3 in round robin competition.  

 

The annual FIRST Championship is the culmination of the season’s FIRST programs, bringing together all ages for the ultimate Sport for the Mind. The three-day event came down to a heart-pounding conclusion in front of a roaring crowd of 25,000.
