Letter: Response To Weitzman

In what can only be deemed as a desperate attempt to win votes that he’s sure not to have, Howard Weitzman is choosing to run his campaign by attacking the credibility of his opponent, rather than run for election to the Nassau County Comptroller’s office based on his own merit. Surely this is due to the fact that Weitzman recognizes his own record of ineptitude and understands that he has a very slim chance of getting elected. Using such childish tactics as falsely accusing current County Comptroller George Maragos of wrongdoing merely bolsters the probability of Maragos’ reelection. Weitzman and his squad made a mess of Nassau County. We are extremely fortunate that we’ve had George Maragos and his team around to clean it up.
