MacArthur Volleyball Preview 2013

The MacArthur Generals Girls Varsity volleyball team will be lead this year by new coach Diann Drury, and the JV team will see a new face with Coach Maureen Danielo.

This year’s Varsity team rosters three seniors, seven juniors and three sophomores, while JV will carry eight sophomores, eight freshmen and one junior.

“The focus this year will be to pick each other up, stay positive and work together” said the coaches. Both teams are off to a terrific start as they took the win over Garden City, and JV made an exciting 2 game behind comeback to seal the victory over Plainedge.

The team will host their annual Dig Pink Fundraiser on Oct.  17 at MacArthur High School at 7 p.m. to raise money for breast cancer research, and for the MacArthur volleyball program. The volleyball program will also be fundraising at football games and homecoming.

The Levittown Boys Varsity volleyball team is made up of athletes from both MacArthur and Division. Led by 3rd year Coach Jordan Dasch, the will carry four seniors, two juniors, seven sophomores and three freshman.

”This is a talented team that I expect to do well in Conference II and compete for a spot in the Nassau County playoffs for the first time since 2005,” said Coach Dasch.
