Fall Festival

The East Meadow Fire Department will hold its annual fall festival on Friday, Sept. 27 from 5 to 10 p.m. and on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 to 10 p.m. at the corner of Carman Avenue and Bob Reed Lane. Rain dates are Oct. 4 and Oct. 5.

Homecomings

Island Trees and Division Avenue high schools will hold their Homecoming celebrations on Sept. 28. 

The Island Trees High School game will be held at 1 pm. at 59 Straight Lane. Call 516-520-2136. for information.

Owl Exhibit

Whooo’s That Owl? exhibit at Tackapausha Museum in Seaford on Sept. 28, beginning at 1 p.m. Meet live owls up close and have all of your questions answered. Call 516-571-7443 for information.

Cruise To The Car Show

Nassau County’s 4th Annual Cruise to the Show car parade, show and auction wheels into Eisenhower Park on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. Parade begins at 9 a.m. at Briarcliffe College on Sept. 29, cruising to Eisenhower Park for display and judging with live music, food and entertainment for the whole family. Meet The Candidates

The Hicksville Community Council is hosting “Meet the Candidates” on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. at the Hicksville Community Center, 28 West Carl Street in Hicksville. Joel Berse will moderate. All area residents are welcome to attend.

Oktoberfest

Fall Business Festival 

The Levittown Chamber of Commerce Fall Business Festival will be held on Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Levittown Public Library, Veterans Memorial Park. Visit with local businesses, craft vendors, a pumpkin patch and the Levittown Fire Department smoke house.

A fun half marathon and 5k run on Oct. 6 at Eisenhower Park, beginning at 8 a.m.

Craft Bazaar

The Levittown Senior Center will hold its craft bazaar on Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior Center, 555 North Newbridge Road in Levittown. Gift Basket Bingo

The Levittown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host Gift Basket Bingo on Oct. 19 at Levittown Hall on Levittown Parkway in Hicksville. Proceeds benefit the Levittown Fire Department. L.E.A.D.D. Walk and Fair will be held on Oct. 27.  Walk starts at 10 a.m. and the Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
