This week I was invited for a personal tour of the Levittown Historical Museum. At the time, I thought I was receiving the red carpet treatment because of my position with Island Trees. Surprisingly enough, I soon discovered that all patrons are shepherded through the museum with this personalized service. A wonderful group of volunteers. One nicer than the next.
Although I thought I knew a lot about Levittown, I soon found out how little I really know about America’s first suburb. Therefore, if you’re a history buff or someone who wants to learn more about the settlement and development of the area, I strongly recommend stopping by the museum.
Interestingly, the museum receives visitors from all over the world and has been featured on the History Channel as well. The museum is located in the old Levittown Memorial High School on Abbey Lane.
