The search contiues for the man who beat and robbed a 46-year-old man delivering Chinese food on Tanner’s Lane in Levittown on Saturday, Nov. 30.
According to Second Precinct detectives, at about 9:10 p.m., a man got out of a black vehicle, approached the victim, and attempted to pay for the food with what appeared to be a counterfeit $100 bill.
The victim refused the payment. As he turned to leave, he was punched twice in the face and fell to the ground.
The robber then rifled through the victim’s pockets and removed an undetermined amount of money.
Grabbing the food, the robber got into the car and fled east on Tanner’s Lane.
The victim was transported to a nearby local hospital by a Nassau County Police Ambulance. He was treated for pain and dizziness.
The only description provided of the assailant/robber is a white male in his 30’s wearing a black jacket.
At presstime, Nassau County police were still working on identifying the make or plate number of the getaway vehicle.
