Arts Center’s Vacation Program

artWondering what to do with your child during the December school break? The Great Neck Arts Center has the answer.

The Arts Center’s School for the Arts is holding a special Winter Vacation Arts Program during the school break, on Dec. 23, 24, 26, 27, and 30, as well as January 2 and 3. Students in grades pre-k through grade 6 can spend fun, active days experiencing varied sessions in art, music, yoga, chess, clay work and acting taught by the Arts Center’s experienced faculty.

Parents can choose to enroll their children for one or more days any time during the vacation period, with a sliding scale of tuition based upon the number of days children are enrolled. Classes are conducted from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Arts Center’s modern facility above the Squire Theater in Great Neck Plaza.

“Vacation Arts is an integrated multi-arts program that will engage children in creative discovery through the visual and performing arts,” said Arts Center Executive Director Regina Gil. “During the program, students will have the opportunity to enjoy classes daily along with a snack time and lunch break. Classes are led by master teachers who provide a new and creative curriculum each day.”

Sessions fill quickly, so early registration is urged. To register, or for additional Vacation Arts information, call The Arts Center at 829-2570. The Great Neck Arts Center is located at 113 Middle Neck Road, with a main entrance facing the Maple Drive municipal parking lot.

Registration is also now going on for The Arts Center’s full array of classes in theatre, dance, film, art and music, which begin in late January. To see detailed listings of classes, visit www.greatneckarts.org.
