Manhasset Brownie Troop #537 had the honor of hosting Major Terry Foster and his Junior ROTC cadets from Uniondale High School.
The Troop was working towards earning their Celebrating Community Badge. The Major and his Cadets had an open discussion with the girls on what it means to be part of a community, the importance of taking pride in what you do and respecting and helping others. They also taught the girls the history of the flag and the significance of its colors, stars and stripes as well as flag etiquette and how to fold a flag. The girls also learned some stances and marched with the Cadets.
