Notre Dame Parish kicked off Catholic Schools Week with a 9 a.m. family Mass where Pastor Father Slater gave a beautiful homily and school president Sophia Montini spoke of her experience at Notre Dame School for the past 10 years on Sunday, Jan. 25.
Notre Dame School held an open house after the Mass. Families were greeted by Principal Mrs. Durkin and administrative assistants Mrs. Breen and Mrs. Reagan as well as parent representatives. Seventh and eighth-grade students gave tours of the school. The hallways were filled with projects and artwork that demonstrates the knowledge and creativity of the Notre Dame students and teachers.
Newcomers were impressed with how much Notre Dame has to offer, including Smartboards, iPads, new desktop computers, video conferencing, indoor and outdoor play areas and enrichment programs. Visitors continued their visit by stopping at The Scholastic
Book Fair where the library was filled with students and parents purchasing new books.
