Port resident Bobbie Schwartz, a member of the Port Washington Senior Citizens Center, got a nice surprise when she came to attend her regular Monday morning art class with instructor Barbara Silbert.
Senior center Director Dolores Holliday presented Bobbie with a cake, and everyone at the center sang “Happy Birthday.”
Bobbie is 70 years young, and regularly attends art and exercise classes at the center. She said she also enjoys going on trips with the center.
Port Washington Senior Citizens Center is located at 80 Manorhaven Blvd., and offers a variety of programs, including yoga, tai chi, karate, Silver Sneakers exercise, sketching, painting, sewing, and knitting and crochet, as well as beginner computer instruction.
