Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset recently held its second round of the school’s first-ever Cupcake Wars to pick winners from a pool of finalists.
The winning recipe for the Most Delicious Cupcake went to The Harry Potter Butterbeer Cupcake baked by Joanna Georghiou.
The winning recipe for the Most Appealing Cupcake went to Vineyard Vines baked by Hailey Schwartz and Olivia Visaggio.
Cupcakes were sold during Sports Night and all proceeds will go to Mercy Beyond Borders, a Mercy Ministry that helps women and children in extreme poverty in Haiti and South Sudan. — Tribune Staff
