Ellis, James Edward of Levittown went home to his eternal kingdom on March 18, 2014. Beloved husband of Ellen “Mel” for 32 years. Loving father of Taylor Evan and Donald E. II. Adored son of Donald E. and Jean. Dear brother of John S. (Beatrice M.). Loving uncle of Adriana G. Graduated Ithaca College 1979 and worked as a sports producer for NBC Sports for 35 years, having been awarded eight Emmys for his work on the Olympic games. Friends may call Friday, March 21, 2014 between 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes, Levittown Chapel, 2786 Hempstead Tpke. (2 blks. east of Wantagh Pkwy.) Funeral service Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Parkway Community Church, 95 Stewart Ave., Hicksville. Burial at PlainLawn Cemetery, Old Country, Hicksville.
