Weber Middle School was recently re-designated as an Essential Elements School to Watch for 2014 by the New York State Education Department and Essential Elements Schools to Watch leadership team.
The designation recognizes the school’s continued commitment to enhancing its programs and practices.
Weber was recognized for developing a model educational program in the state that is consistent with the Essential Elements of a Standards Focused Middle Level School, as well as the National Forum’s Schools to Watch criteria. As a result, the school will be recognized as both a state and national School to Watch.
The Essential Elements Schools to Watch program recognizes schools that demonstrate continuous improvement and excel in the areas of academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity and organizational structure.
The school will formally be honored at the National Schools to Watch Conference from June 25-28 in Washington, D.C.
