EAC Network is pleased to announce that it has received a $7,500 donation from Angela S. Anton, publisher of Anton Community Newspapers, in support of the agency’s Light.
of Hope Luncheon, its largest annual fundraising event, held this year at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The donation will help support the agency’s many programs and services throughout Long Island. Anton (far left) was honored for her service and commitment to the community alongside Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano. A Long Islander born and bred on the North Shore, Angela is dedicated to helping fellow Long Islanders.
“We are very grateful and proud of Angela and Anton Community Newspapers for their kind and gracious donation,” commented Lance W. Elder, President and CEO of EAC Network. “Their generosity and spirit are truly making a difference in our communities.”
This year, the 14th annual Light of Hope Luncheon, sponsored by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, raised almost $115,000.
Proceeds support EAC’s 70 programs that protect at-risk children, support senior citizens, help people with mental health and substance abuse problems, educate people seeking financial independence, assist individuals who are under or unemployed, mediate disputes, and work with families in crisis. Last year, EAC helped over 57,400 people.
