Island Trees Council of PTAs
On May 1, the Island Trees PTA Council will hold its annual district dinner at 6 p.m. During the dinner, members of the PTA Council will bestow the honorary life award to a member of the Island Trees school community who dedicated their time and talents to benefit and improve the quality of life for the children of Island Trees. Meet the Candidates Night
On May 1, the Levittown School District Board of Education will hold its “Meet the Candidates” night to introduce the incumbents/challengers running for the board this May. The forum will be held at the Levittown Memorial Education Center at 7:30 p.m.
LICIL Casino Night
The Long Island Center for Independent Living and the Levittown Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to host casino night, on May 1, from 6:30-10:30 p.m., at the Woodbury Country Club, located at 884 Jericho Tpke. in Woodbury. Susie Essman at Governor’s
Comedian Susie Essman will be performing at Governor’s Comedy Club, located at 90 Division Ave., from May 2-4. Tickets are $34-$64. Admission is 18 and over.
Girl Scout Leader/Daughter Event
The Island Trees Girl Scouts will hold a special leader/daughter dinner on May 2, at 6:30 p.m., inside the Michael F. Stokes Elementary School, located at 101 Owl Place in Levittown. For more information call 516-520-2103.

Engine Co. 7 Annual Craft Fair
The Levittown Fire Department’s Engine Co. 7 will host its 5th annual craft fair, on May 3 and May 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Old K-Mart parking lot, on the corner of Hempstead Tpke. and Gardiners Ave. The fair has been very successful over the years, growing to feature more than 150 vendors. Family Financial Literacy Fair
On May 3, the Nassau County Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) will conduct a Family Financial Literacy Fair to educate children in grades K-5 on the importance of saving money. Community Yard Sale

Mother’s Day Boutique
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 369 Green Ave. in East Meadow, will host a Mother’s Day Boutique on May 3, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and on May 4, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Vendors will be selling fine jewelry, spring fashions & accessories, home & garden décor items, handmade soaps, candles, home fragrances, hand-sewn gift items, potted houseplants and flowers. The next budget hearing / regular meeting of the Levittown Board of Education will be held at 7:30 p.m., on May 7, at the Levittown Memorial Education Center, located at 150 Abbey Lane in Levittown.
Shopping Extravaganza
On May 7, Gardiners Avenue Elementary School PTA will be holding a shopping extravaganza at Levittown Hall in Hicksville. From 5:30-9:30 p.m., come and shop from over 50 vendors, where you are guaranteed to find a great gift for Mother’s Day. For more information call 516-351-9462.
