I have had the pleasure of knowing Marirose Merola since September of 1997. Our sons were both enrolled in the same cooperative nursery school here in Manhasset where she was an actively involved parent. This is a role that she has continued and grown more passionate about as the years have gone by.
A tireless supporter and advocate for our school budget each and every year she has always been my source for information. Our district has already benefited from Marirose’s involvement in the Shared Decision Making Committee, the P.A.S.S. (Parents Aligned to Support our Schools) committee which she co-founded and co-chaired and the Citizen Education Committee to name a few.
With an extensive background in business as well as education, Marirose possesses that delicate balance that is needed to maintain our districts high academic standards with a budget that taxpayers can approve of.
Marirose will be a great asset to our Board of Education with her fresh prospective and unparalleled dedication.
I encourage everyone to vote yes for our school budget on May 20, and vote for Marirose Merola for school board. Please give her the opportunity to serve our district in an even greater capacity than she already has.
