Chronic Pain Association Forming
The American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA) has just formed a new support group for those living in Nassau County. The leader for this new support group is Cynthia Johnson. She has been dealing with chronic back pain for many years now. Support from her friends and family has been a big part of Johnson’s lengthy journey to pain alleviation, and she wanted nothing more than to provide that same support to others dealing with chronic pain in the community. The meeting will take place, for the month of May, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. It is completely free and refreshments will be served. This meeting will include licensed nutritionist Jamie Cohen, who will discuss the benefits of a good diet and proper eating to alleviate chronic pain. The location of the event will be at 800 East Gate Blvd. in Garden City. To RSVP or for more information, please call Cynthia Johnson at 516-304-9297.
