Third-grade students at Village Elementary School in Syosset recently gathered to commemorate the completion of their in-depth reports on noted historical American figures. Dressed up as everyone from Abraham Lincoln and Benjamin Franklin to Helen Keller and Rosa Parks, the children confidently presented what they had learned through their research, including details about their subjects’ lives and their impact on society.

Disha, Maral, and Eesha were ready to enjoy the red, white, and blue celebration.

They were also happy to share their knowledge and answer questions from fellow students, teachers, and parents in attendance. The presentation culminated in a fun feast that included delicious red, white, and blue cupcakes generously donated by several third grade parents. Congratulations to all of the students in Ms. Geller’s, Ms. Swirsky’s, and Ms. Tepper’s classes on a job very well done.
