Christ Episcopal Church and The Community Reformed Church in Manhasset, held their second annual joint Children’s Day service to end the church year on Sunday, June 8. More than 20 children and youth from both congregations led worship with scripture readings, poems, songs and a children’s sermon that celebrated Pentecost Sunday. Graduating seniors were honored with gifts, and all of the children and youth gathered on the altar steps in recognition of a successful Sunday School year. The day ended with a church picnic on the lawn.
