Bar-Boy just keeps winning. BB beat LaCorte Family Auto 20-7 during a special Thursday evening edition of Over the Hill Gang softball. With John Czarnecki’s tough pitching and BB’s defense, BB held LaCorte to just 7 runs. At the plate, Jason Cinnelli went 3 for 3 with 2 HRs and 4 RBIs, Lino Raspanti went 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs, Ken Kuzma went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Tom Debona went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs, John Czarnecki went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Joe Scotti went 3 for , Mike Frain went 4 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Ken Kohlmann went 3 for 5, Sebby Raspanti went 2 for 2, Bob Liese went 3 for 5 with 2RBIs,
Steve Kirk went 3 for 5 and Darrin Simons went 3 for 5-all singles.
Wins have not come easy for Zwanger-Pesiri Radiology this season, but the team picked up a huge confidence building victory Thursday, beating Singleton’s 14-8. ZP combined fantastic defense and timely hitting to stay ahead of a very tough team. The right side of the infield was flawless. 1st baseman Kevin McGinnis and 2nd baseman Marty Dunn both ranged far to their right numerous times to take hits away. Tyrone Clark at 3rd and John Hernandez at short also flashed leather all night long. The also outfield was solid with Bino Reverberi getting yet another assist and Tommy Dittmeier flagging down fly after fly.
At the plate, Dunn was also a star. His 3-run homer gave ZP the lead and set the tone for more runs to come. For the night, Dittmeier was 4-4, Steve Lenci, Jerry Mazza, Anthony Nicolich and Dunn all had 3 hits. Winning pitcher John DeFalco helped his cause with 2 hits while Hernandez and Tyrone Clark also banged out a pair of hits.
