Port Washington News Contributor Harry Hepcat with Robin Williams on the set of the film ”Sieze the Day.”
Port Washington News Contributor Harry Hepcat worked on the set of the 1986 movie Seize The Day with Robin Williams.
“I almost killed Robin that day when the director asked me to drive a 1954 Mercury and brake it just before I hit his knee,” says Hepcat. “An hour later the brakes failed. Robin would have been dead or legless. I never had the heart to tell him, even at the cast party.”
In the movie, Robin Williams played salesman Tommy Wilhelm, who decides to head to New York after losing his job and his girlfriend.
Williams was found dead of an apparent suicide in his home Monday, August 11.
