Gentle Yoga
The Locust Valley Library sponsors Gentle Yoga, Mondays, with Gerry McKay from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the LV Firehouse. The10 sessions cost $25. This playful yoga class encourages breathing techniques, mindful movement and body awareness. Please bring a yoga mat or towel to class. Fun Fit Yoga
This energy releasing class will help children improve their physical strength, as well as help them build their self-esteem, concentration skills and ability to interact socially. Cruise Night
Cruise Night held weekly Tuesdays on Audrey Avenue and continues through the year until Sept. 30. The fee is $5 per vehicle and visitors are free. Live music is performed by celebrity musicians, with auctions and raffles to benefit project of the Historic OB-EN Chamber of Commerce. Call 922-6464. Cruise Nights is a weather dependent event.

Hurricane Preparedness
An Emergency Awareness seminar will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Jericho Public Library, 1 Merry Lane, just off Jericho Turnpike, in Jericho. The seminar will be led by: the NY National Guard, working with experts from the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services’ Officer of Emergency Management and Office of Fire Prevention and Control. Art In A Meadow
The Oakcliff Sailing Center holds a fete on Saturday, Sept. 13. It is a walk through a private restored meadow on Center Island with art available for sale, while you enjoy light refreshments. There will be a showing of Ken Burns documentary The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, shown on PBS on Sept. 14. LIS Public Input Meeting
Mark Tedesco, EPA LIS Office director will make a presentation to collect public input on the update to the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan to protect and restore Long Island Sound for the next 20 years. Gregory Reid Exhibit
The Oyster Bay Historical Society, 20 Summit St., presents a retrospective exhibit by Gregory Reid at the Koenig Center now through Sept. 5. The solo exhibition features paintings, masks, and collages representing nearly two decades of experiments and breakthroughs. Fabulous Interiors At Coe Hall
Coe Hall Mansion at Planting Fields hosts an exhibit through Sept. 30 featuring Fabulous Interiors by Elsie de Wolfe and Charles Duveen, 1915 – 1945: open daily at Coe Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free with $4 Coe Hall admission fee. The Tea House is open daily, 12:30 to 2 p.m, entrance to the Tea House is free with $8 parking fee.
