The Women’s Club of The Congregational Church of Manhasset will begin its 74th year on Monday, Oct. 6. The program will feature Frank J. Scaturro who will speak about “The Restoration of Grant’s Tomb”. Slides will accompany his lecture. A practicing attorney with a rich background in history and politics, Scaturro has also been involved in various areas of public service, including the campaign to restore Grant’s Tomb.
Scaturro received his B.A. in Political Science and History from Columbia University in 1994 and his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. He is currently a partner at Fisher Broyles LLP, where he is involved in the development of the firm’s political law and commercial litigation practice. For the 2009-2010 academic year, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Hofstra Law School, where he taught courses on The Legislative Process, Current Problems in Constitutional Law, Constitutional Theory, and Congressional Enforcement of Civil Rights: History and Law. Scaturro served as Counsel for the Constitution, Senate Judiciary Committee from 2005-2009. These are among the most recent highlights of his legal and political career. He has also authored and co-authored several books, and has written articles for publication in various journals and local New York papers.
