Shelter Rock Protest At Climate March

Over fifty members of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock in Manhasset walked with over 400,000 activists at the People’s Climate March in NYC on September 21. They marched to support the United Nations Climate Summit where world leaders convened to address the systemic dangers of climate change. Unitarian Universalist spiritual values call members to act on personal, local, and national levels to adopt practices that will reverse global warming/climate change, and to do so in ways that are just and equitable.
