A 21-year-old Hempstead man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in Glen Head on Sunday night.

Nassau County police said Jeffrey Schneider was riding a Kawasaki Ninja northbound on Glen Cove Avenue when he struck a large rock, causing him to be ejected into a tree at the corner of University Place at 9:41 p.m.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead an hour later.

Third Squad detectives impounded the motorcycle for tests and found no apparent criminality.
