A new year is here and the Roslyn Chamber of Commerce has nine Board of Directors positions that are open for 2015, as their current two-year term expired on Dec. 31, 2014. Chamber members may nominate themselves or someone else, and they may nominate as many people as they like.

The nomination period will close at midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015. The Nominating Committee will then meet to review all nominees to determine eligibility. Open elections (held like last year, electronically) will then be sent to all 2015 Chamber Members in good standing.
Mollie Grossman was elected last year to a two-year term. It was agreed by chamber members that the number of board members in 2015 would be reduced to 13 from the current 15.
These are the eight current Board members whose terms are expiring: Lonnie Goldman (president), Michael Grossberg (treasurer), Chris Soto, Patrick Mack, Vito DiTrapani, Heather Lehrman, Joyce Muller and Barbara Kaplan.
In addition, the chamber has announced a meeting schedule for the new year. All meetings start at 6:30 p.m. Any changes will be communicated.
• Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the Bryant Library. A Nutritionalist from North Shore-LIJ Hospital Systems will present “Boosting Energy Through the Day.”
• Tuesday, Feb. 10 at Prism Spa (41 Main St., Roslyn). Networking Mixer with Manhasset Chamber of Commerce and Port Washington Chamber of Commerce.
• Tuesday, March 3 at MP Taverna. Annual Board of Directors induction ceremony.
