On Friday Jan. 9 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 11, from 2 to 3:30 p.m., actors and vocalists are asked to mark their calendars for auditions for this spring’s original production of the Garden City Community Theatre. The audition will take place at In the Parlor at Garden City Community Church located at 245 Stewart Ave. in Garden City. The play will be an original musical comedy with Broadway show tunes offering roles to adults, teens and children ages 8 and over. Show dates are April 17, 18 and 19. The Garden City Community Theatre was formed in 1996 as a creative outlet for the many talented individuals living in the church community and also as a means to fundraise for the church. The Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ and is an open and affirming congregation. Worship services are Sundays at 8:30 a.m. in the chapel and 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary, with church school for children and a crib room for infants and toddlers, during the latter service.
