Newspaper publisher and staff support local toy drive for decades
Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano recently presented a citation to Angela Susan Anton and Anton Media Group, on behalf of the county, in recognition of their many charitable acts, including their work in support of the Annual U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive.
Since the 1990s, Anton Media Group has been a major sponsor for the Toys for Tots charity campaign. Once again, Anton Media Group served as an official drop-off location for Toys for Tots.
Joining Mangano in commending Anton was Ret. Maj. Chuck Kilbride, USMC, who has led Nassau County’s Toys for Tots Program for more than 20 years.
“This year due to the generosity and support of people such as Angela Anton and her staff, Toys for Tots will continue to be able to make the holidays a bit brighter for the many families in need here on Long Island,” said Mangano.
Anton Media Group raised more than $1,100 in toy contributions from its staff and the community.
