NBC’s Pat Battle to emcee fundraiser
At 6 p.m. on March 19 at Adelphi University in Garden City, 178 original works of art will be auctioned to benefit the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Program. These pieces are “Creative Cups”—ordinary bras that have been turned into folk art.
All the Creative Cups will be auctioned in Adelphi’s University Center in Garden City. NBC’s Pat Battle, a breast cancer survivor herself, again will host the event. An art book of all the bras and the stories the artists wrote about their creations will be available for sale at the event.
To date, chief sponsors are Horizon Air Freight, Leviton Foundation, Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, NYBRA.com, Ellen and Joan Leondis, Digital Graphic Imagery Corp., First Glass Wine Tours of Long Island and Lackmann Culinary Services.
