Roslyn resident Brad Rapone continues to star for the Farmingdale State men’s lacrosse team.
Rapone had an assist and a key goal in the Rams’ recent 12-8 win over FDU-Fordham. The Rams improved to 5-2 overall with the win.
Rapone helped the Rams get on the board with an assist on the goal by Derrick Sherrod.
After Fordham rallied to tie the score, 6-6 in the third quarter, Rapone put the Rams ahead to stay with a goal with 4:03 remaining in the quarter.
In the fourth quarter, five straight Farmingdale State goals put the game out of reach as the Rams held a 12-6 advantage with only 2:26 left to play. FDU would get two goals back over the final minutes, but the Rams held on for the 12-8 non-conference win.
Senior goalkeeper Thomas Fallon made 14 saves, while freshman goalkeeper Connor Evans made seven saves in defeat.
