Fifth-grade students at Charles E. Schwarting Elementary School in the Plainedge School District were recently visited by Congressman Peter King as par
t of a special assembly to conclude their unit on democracy.
The congressman spent over an hour with students, answering questions and explaining just what his job in Congress entails. The students welcomed him with a special performance and honored him by wearing red, white and blue to school.
