Brutally cold and windy weather dominated week two the of the Over the Hill Gang softball season. In a back and forth battle, Legends on Broadway improved to 2-0 with a 13-11 win over Sal’s Place. Legends had contributions up and down the lineup but the big shots came from HRs by John Compitello and Bill Gonzalez. In the field the guys were flashing the leather with critical fielding gems by Al Celeste, Jack Kisilinsky and Bill Gonzalez. Players hope the temperature stays above 40 degrees the remainder of the season.
Bar-Boy beat the always tough Singleton’s team 13 to 3 with good hitting and a very solid defense. Ken Kuzma went 3 for 6 with 3 RBI, Joe Scotti went 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs including a triple, Mike Frain went 3 for 5 with 3 RBIs, John Czarnecki went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Tom Debona belted a Home Run, Joe Badalamenti was 4 for 5 Frank Badalamenti went 2 for 5, Darrin Simons went 3 for 5, Steve Kirk went 3 for 5, and Steve Rose went 2 for 5. Bar-Boy is 2-0.
