“The Big W” James Wiercinski was named Athlete of the Week. Wiercinski is off to a great start as a key player on the varsity baseball team. He is 3-0 with an earned run average of 1.47. In 19 innings, he has only allowed four earned runs while striking out 16 batters.
In addition to his prowess on the mound, Wiercinski has had a hot bat, hitting .389 with 2 RBI, six walks and a .542 on-base percentage. Wiercinski also played varsity basketball and golf this year. He has a positive attitude and is a dedicated student athlete. Wiercinski will be attending Stevenson University in Maryland next fall.
