Passion and devotion filled the air on Thursday, May 14 at The Vincent Smith School, as they welcomed Keller Williams Realty Gold Coast in celebration of annual RED Day. On RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, Keller Williams real estate agents worldwide give back to their local communities in a specific, interactive way. Unlike other Keller Williams projects, RED Day allows all agents to entirely put aside their daily work and personally dedicate everything to an aspect of their communities.
This year, Keller Williams Realty Gold Coast was proud to come together with faculty, parents, and students of The Vincent Smith School to landscape and beautify the school grounds. With over 30 helpers, RED Day at Vincent Smith became a huge, extremely successful event, beyond anything those at Vincent Smith ever imagined. “It’s taking my breath away,” said John Baldi, Head of School, “I knew they were doing it, but I am astounded by their level of dedication. I am at loss for words.”
The Vincent Smith School is nonprofit, and they focus wholeheartedly on the improvement of their students. “They work for the specific needs of children with learning disabilities,” said the chair of the Keller Williams culture committee. “We could not think of a better way to give back to our community.” The school even allowed a Keller Williams associate to plant a tree on behalf of her recently deceased sister. “My sister had a learning disability,” she said. “She would be amazed by a place as wonderful as Vincent Smith. I could not think of a better place to plant a tree for her.”
Keller Williams and The Vincent Smith School worked together in a fun, community event, as they planted flowers, painted rocks, and enjoyed gluten-free home-baked goods made by a Keller Williams agent. Together, they made the school, which already was such a beautiful place for these children, beautiful on the outside as well. “We need to be there for the kids,” said Baldi, “and now, Keller Williams is here for us.”
