The Art Guild is pleased to announce that artist Stephanie Navon-Jacobson will teach a two-day workshop “Silkscreen Monotype” on May 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at The Art Guild at Elderfields Preserve, 200 Port Washington Blvd. in Manhasset.
Come discover this unique process that combines screen printing and painting
using water-based materials , nontoxic, versatile and simple to master. Stephanie will demonstrate the versatility of printmaking, as a stand-alone process or as incorporated with other mediums such as oil or watercolor. Students will learn to create unique prints and will explore the layering possibilities for overprinting on drawings, prints and other media. No prior experience or skill necessary. (Materials list provided at registration. Students will need to purchase a reusable silkscreen and a squeegee.) Tuition is $130 for members and $160 nonmembers.
