On Saturday, Sept. 19, The Long Island and Queens, NY, Ecumenical Women’s Ministry will host its Annual Fall Brunch from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gessner Hall, Church on the Hill, at 167-05 35th Ave. in Flushing, NY.
Join them for a delicious meal, share in fellowship and conversation, learn about upcoming events in the church year and participate in a short service project to support underserved women in the community.
The brunch speaker this year is the Rev. Liz Testa, coordinator for Women’s Transformation and Leadership in the Reformed Church in America. Join the program as they share their stories as women of faith and learn ways to equip and empower all women to fully use their gifts in the life, ministry and mission of church denominations in this community and those across the country.
The Ecumenical Women’s Ministry is made up of women from various Christian denominations of the North Shore of Long Island and Queens. They are committed to uniting in order to offer programs that celebrate and support all women, while inspiring personal enrichment, community building and deeper connection to God. Their offerings (at different participating churches) include a fall brunch, a spring dinner, spiritual book clubs and service projects throughout the year.
Reservations are required. To reserve your place, contact Lesley Mazzotta, director of Spiritual Formation for Christ Church and The Community Reformed Church, at lesleymazzotta@gmail.com or at 917-623-4554.
