A 24-year-old SUNY Farmingdale State College student from Yonkers was fatally hit by a car in Farmingdale on Thursday night.

Suffolk County police said Eyyad Almargi was crossing Melville Road, west of Route 110, when he was hit by a westbound Saturn at 9:20 p.m.

The victim Eyyad Almargi was taken to St. Joseph Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver was neither injured nor charged.

First Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, are continuing the investigation and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 631-854-8152 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
